Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Carpenter's Helper to join our construction team. The Carpenter's Helper will assist skilled carpenters in various woodworking and construction projects, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a keen eye for detail, and is eager to learn and grow within the construction industry. As a Carpenter's Helper, you will be responsible for supporting carpenters in measuring, cutting, and assembling materials. You will help in setting up and cleaning job sites, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment. Your role will involve handling various materials such as wood, drywall, and metal, and assisting in the installation of structures, fixtures, and frameworks. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of carpentry tools and techniques, excellent physical stamina, and the ability to follow instructions carefully.

Essential Functions and Requirements
- Assist carpenters in measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
- Set up and clean job sites, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Maintain and organize tools and equipment.
- Handle and transport construction materials such as wood, drywall, and metal.
- Support installation of structures, fixtures, and frameworks.
- Follow instructions from skilled carpenters and supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and regulations.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Significant and sustained periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting.
- Must have good manual dexterity to perform precision adjustments of machinery parts and controls.
- Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
- May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
- Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception and peripheral vision.
- Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind; and must be able to work for long periods of times up to 12 hours a day.
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $19.70 - $20.85 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
