This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of experts who share a common goal of minimizing our environmental footprint while driving business growth. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability initiatives, conduct environmental audits, and manage on-site environmental permits and licenses. Your expertise will help us stay ahead of the curve in reducing waste generation and minimizing adverse environmental impacts.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Conduct regular environmental audits to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions. Develop and manage strategies to reduce waste generation and minimize adverse environmental impacts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable practices across the organization. Coordinate and facilitate internal environmental awareness and education efforts. Manage on-site environmental permits and licenses, including submission of required reports. Assist in implementation of change control processes to address changes that impact environmental aspects and associated risks.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management, Engineering or related field. Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Registered Safety Professional (RSP) certifications are desired. Must be able to travel up to 20% time. Knowledge of Lean principles and techniques and experience in applying them in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Ability to interpret and apply environmental regulations and laws. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in a team-based environment. Familiarity with MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. An understanding of sustainability concepts and tools such as carbon footprint analysis, life cycle assessment and material flow analysis.
