The Environmental Manager at Masterguard plays a crucial role in ensuring our operations remain environmentally responsible. This position involves developing, administering, implementing, and maintaining environmental programs that comply with corporate standards, ISO 14001 requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations and permits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental compliance programs, including air emissions, storm water, industrial waste water, DOT, and solid/liquid/universal/hazardous waste programs.
- Maintain the company's ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and represent the facility during audits.
- Conduct environmental management training, job site inspections, and contingency planning (SPCC, SWPPP, and RCRA).
- Manage on-site chemicals, including inventory, ordering, and compiling periodic summaries of chemical use.
- Manage waste streams, including hazardous, non-hazardous, liquid industrial wastes, and recycling programs.
- Evaluate facility-specific air permitting requirements and complete necessary reports.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local industrial waste water pretreatment permits.
- Comply with SWPPP and SPCC regulations.
- Meet corporate environmental requirements.
- Analyze new projects, process changes, and chemical changes for environmental impacts.
