What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Field Response Supervisor position at Masters Advanced Remediation Services?
Summary: The Field Supervisor will be responsible for project management, client and employee relations, coordinating with multiple locations for personnel and equipment, budgeting, as well as additional tasks as assigned to meet business needs. This is a fast paced, highly visible position and requires an individual with exceptional communication, organizational and computer skills. This position requires an individual that is team oriented, a multi-tasker, as well as a strong individual contributor with a superior sense of urgency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
· Independently and successfully managing projects from start up to completion.
· Field inspections including assisting with the estimating, bidding, and proposal process.
· Responsible for the management of all sub-contractors, schedules, and budgets.
· Work closely with senior managers and the sales team to identify potential opportunities/clients while maintaining current client relations
· Producing timely documentation for internal and external agencies and clients, including report writing, map generation, chain of custodies, work sheets and manifesting.
· Provide leadership and direction to technicians/ drivers/ mechanics to ensure safety and compliance with company and industry standards along with all regulatory agencies.
· Dispatch employees and relay job information
· DOT compliance knowledge for Fleet and drivers logs.
Qualification/Requirements:
· Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
· Demonstrated background in successfully managing project schedules and budgets
· At least two (2) to four (4) of supervisory/ project management experience in environmental construction/ industrial cleanings, with knowledge of emergency response/management, quality management and environmental regulations
· Ability to effectively coordinate with personnel and clients
· Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail
· Ability to work under pressure and time sensitive deadlines, detailed oriented, creative, proactive and persistent.
· Chemical handling and air monitoring equipment experience is a plus
· Travel is required from time to time.
Education/Training/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Transferable skills and experience/education in the environmental industry are required
Physical Demands:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk up and down slopes or uneven terrain, stand, lift, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; bend with legs and reach with hands and arms.
· The employee must lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

· The work is primarily performed in the field, outdoors in the heat or cold for 8 or more hours per day. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
- To reduce exposure to harmful materials, workers often wear coveralls, gloves, shoe covers, safety glasses, or goggles. Some must wear fully enclosed protective suits for several hours at a time; these suits may be hot and uncomfortable and may cause the workers who wear them to experience claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces). In extremely toxic cleanups, hazmat workers are required to wear respirators or personal air monitors.
