PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Updates and maintains student information data/schedules and provides assistance for the efficient operation of the campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Certification Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check
Special Knowledge and Skills
- Proficient data entry/keyboarding, file maintenance, and 10-key skills
- Data Entry Experience (alpha and 10 key)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Adhere to House Bill 3 (HB3) and TEA updated PEIMS submission requirements
- Enters and maintains all PEIMS data input and campus updates
- Create and maintain all student cumulative records
- Collaborate with district PEIMS office to verify accuracy of reported data
- Maintains confidentiality
- Registers and re-enrolls new or returning students to the campus
- Develop, maintain and store student records and any other records management functions necessary for compliance
- Makes initial entries of all new student demographics and subsequent updating of students demographic records
- Complies with procedures and the laws regarding student information and data
- Distributes reports to the appropriate special programs staff
- Distributes grade sheets to teachers and oversees their grade entries and corrections
- Enters and maintains student daily attendance and tardy information
- Assists teachers on Teacher Access Center
- Distributes report cards and progress reports to teachers
- Demonstrates proficiency and maintains student information systems
- Assists with the scanning of visitors/volunteers using the Raptor System
- Assists with making/answering calls using the campus PA system
- Greet visitors to the school in a professional and pleasant manner
- Answer office telephone and respond appropriately to request for information
- May assist with checking in tardy students supplying them with a tardy slip
- Attends all training sessions set forth by the district PEIMS Staff
- Assist with the coverage of the clinic when the Health Aide (Nurse) is at lunch, on break or unavailable
- Perform other duties as assigned, based on department needs
- Must complete designated district technology proficiencies each year
- Requires a basic knowledge of technology/computer skills
- Ability to use personal computer to access district programs, emails, and other resources
- Maintain a consistent professional demeanor and appearance
- Ensure compliance with the Texas Educator’s Code of Ethics
- Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job
