Responsibilities: As a Cheese Production Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing bulk cheese to production lines
- Operating cheese cutting/shredding equipment
- Performing manual lifting and carrying of cheese weighing up to 40 pounds
- Removing packaging from cheese
- Inspecting bulk cheese for mold or contaminants and removing them accordingly
- Operating automated and manual cutting systems
- Operating shredding equipment
- Maintaining records of bulk cheese usage using RF inventory scanners
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to frequently reach, grasp, and lift up to 40 pounds, with occasional lifts of up to 60 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Willingness to learn and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Visual inspection skills for product quality purposes
- Basic math skills and ability to calculate
- Consistent and reliable attendance to maintain adequate staffing levels and meet customer commitments
