General Description:
The Print Buyer is responsible for controlling the flow and quality of all assigned print work through the agency to our clients, working directly with the Client Services, Project Management, Creative and Production teams. The Print Buyer will oversee the work of 5-10 specific clients throughout the production process while ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages production of projects from creative to completion.
- Reviews all job specifications for an effective and most economical way to produce the project.
- Solicits competitive bids for jobs from pre-screened vendors.
- Coordinates the scheduling of jobs with pre-screened vendors.
- Review press-readiness of all jobs.
- Works with the Print Production Director and Client Services to determine solutions as production issues arise and determine appropriate compensation (discount) when necessary.
- Review and approve vendor invoices and postal documentation.
- Provides weekly reports to the Print Production Director detailing the status of their jobs.
- Maintains proper timing while jobs are in the internal process.
- Ability to clearly articulate and communicate job specifications throughout the life of the job.
- Flexibility and adherence to new processes and procedures.
- Maintain efficient time management, in keeping with assigned billable hours.
Position Requirements
Technical Competencies:
- Understanding of print production processes or other relevant experience

- Proficient in computer use and learn/build on existing skills

Work Experience:
- 3-5 years in an Agency environment or directly related experience
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent additional experience
