General Summary: Perform direct patient cardiac diagnostic testing procedures with skill and timeliness, providing age-specific care to patients of all ages and serving as a resource to hospital staff.
Credentials: Basic Life Support; Registered Cardiac Sonographer
Experience: Certification program completion and/or two years hands-on echocardiography experience.
Preferred: Certificate in Cardiovascular Sonography; extensive hospital experience in echocardiography, especially with pediatric and neonatal patients.

- Accurately perform echocardiogram studies and other cardiac diagnostic tests.
- Administer IV contrast and conduct agitated saline bubble studies.
- Utilize mechanical devices for diagnostic information.
- Ensure proper scheduling and charging of studies.
- Implement infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
- Provide preceptorship to students from contracted colleges.
- Follow age-specific guidelines for neonatal and pediatric patients.
