Medical Equipment Delivery Driver

MasVida Health is looking for an exceptional person to join our team in Tyler, TX! Our Equipment Delivery Technicians must be caring, dedicated, and passionate about people and their work. MasVida Health provides essential durable medical equipment to people in need.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Knowledge of durable medical equipment in inventory with ability to explain how to safely operate all items delivered to the nursing home employees.
• Prepares assigned delivery vehicle for scheduled routes by pulling stock from the available warehouse inventory, safely loading onto the delivery vehicle, and securing with provided devices.
• Delivers, picks up, and services medical equipment ordered from customer nursing homes.
• Drives safely following all rules of the road.
• Participates in cleaning, disinfecting, and testing of returned (dirty) medical equipment.
• Participates in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and delivery vehicles.
• Completes all assigned orders each day.

• Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, and ethics when dealing with nursing home staff, residences/patients, and co-workers.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to take directions and work independently with little supervision.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make good judgement decisions.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of operating and instructing various types of durable medical equipment (DME) is preferred.
• Experience working in a warehouse setting is preferred.
• Previous experience with delivery of large items is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Pushing or lifting items weighing up to and over 100 lbs. without assistance
• Standing, bending, squatting, and climbing stairs or ladders
• Sitting in one position for long periods of time while driving a vehicle

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

• This company provides medical equipment to residences of nursing homes in Tyler and surrounding areas. People can be uncomfortable with what they can witness while performing the duties of this job. Are you comfortable with delivering and retrieving medical equipment from nursing homes and what could be witnessed?
• This position requires three (3) pre-employment checks; these include: Background check, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, and a drug test. Will you be able to complete these pre-employment checks with no conflicts?
• This position can at times have unpredictable work hours (not knowing when you will clock out each day) due to destinations far away from the warehouse and unexpected late orders, with some work shifts lasting late into the evening (between 10pm-1am). Will you be able to do this without conflict?
• This position requires participation of an on-call shift, which is one week long (7 days), includes working after-hours, on the weekend, and during some holidays. Being on-call is an additional responsibility on top of the normal daily work schedule. This is a rotation meaning you will not be on-call every week. Will you be able to participate without conflict?
• This position requires pushing, pulling, and lifting of heavy medical equipment (which can be from 100-300 lbs.) in and out of a warehouse, delivery vehicle, and nursing homes with no assistance from other employees. Are you comfortable with and able to perform this task with no conflict?

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Delivery driver: 1 year (Preferred)
• Heavy lifting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
