Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while ensuring timely deliveries. The Route Driver will operate a cargo van and may be required to navigate various routes while maintaining a high level of customer service. Start time 5 am - 2pm with an hour lunch break. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a cargo van to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Follow established routes and schedules for timely deliveries.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and organization.
- Utilize a pallet jack for moving heavy items as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Handle any issues or delays professionally and promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigating local areas is essential.
- Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling of packages is required.
- Knowledge of operating a manual transmission vehicle is a plus.
- Background in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
