We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in the propane industry. This individual will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of propane-related equipment and systems at our facility. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical maintenance, a keen understanding of safety standards, and the ability to work independently to ensure that all systems are operating efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of propane tanks, valves, regulators, and other equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to propane storage and distribution systems.
- Ensure all equipment is compliant with safety regulations and company standards.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new propane equipment and infrastructure.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with industry regulations.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on propane storage tanks, delivery systems, and associated hardware to ensure reliability and extend equipment lifespan.
- Perform regular safety checks on propane delivery trucks, refueling systems, and associated equipment.
- Manage and maintain records of maintenance activities, including service logs, work orders, and equipment inspections.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and work with the team to resolve issues effectively.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure minimal downtime and maximum system efficiency.
- Assist with inventory control, including tracking maintenance materials and parts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or an associate degree in maintenance, mechanical systems, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, preferably within the propane, gas, or energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of propane equipment, pipelines, and storage systems.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to the propane industry (NFPA 58, OSHA, DOT, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual tasks as required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
