Matagorda Construction & Materials is hiring a Civil Construction Superintendent to join our team!
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to oversee civil construction projects. As a Civil Construction Superintendent, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously, guide crews, and ensure quality work is completed on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
- Oversee and guide foreman on-site for efficient project execution
- Manage installation of water and sewer systems
- Install storm boxes, culverts, and other infrastructure components
- Supervise road construction, asphalt work, and chip seal applications
- Accurately calculate material needs for projects and order accordingly
- Stay ahead of the crew to ensure materials and resources are available
- Ability to manage and oversee multiple projects at once
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in civil construction, specifically in road construction, water/sewer installation, and storm infrastructure
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Knowledge of material estimation, ordering, and inventory management
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to manage more than one job site at a time
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
