This position is responsible for the maintenance of department facilities and equipment as assigned.

High School diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience in a similar position, sufficient to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position. Related experience may include: cleaning, general building/facility maintenance, yard/landscape work, customer service, snow plowing, home maintenance, hospitality service, shop/warehouse assistant.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Alaska for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
Completion of required Incident Command System (ICS) courses in accordance with established Borough policy.

- Cleans and prepares the administration area of Station 6-1 for business operations.
- Conducts or coordinates grounds maintenance for all Central stations to include fertilizing and cutting grass, trimming trees and shrubs, collecting litter, etc.
- Conducts or coordinates building maintenance for all Central stations as assigned and authorized.
- Performs courier duties; delivers packages and supplies.
- Restocks operational supplies as each station.
- Assists in the installation of office equipment and fixtures.
- Assists with minor vehicle repairs as assigned.
- Assists in coordinating department functions, including training events, awards ceremonies, and large group meetings.
- Conducts or coordinates snow removal from sidewalks, parking lots, and training grounds.
- Attends required training.
- Purchases supplies from vendors.
- Maintains records of work performed.
- When staffing the EOC performs the functions assigned by the Event Commander to efficiently and effectively respond and manage an incident.
- Performs related duties.
