Infrastructure Architect
We are searching for an experienced Infrastructure Architect at our Palmer HQ facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the overall design, build, maintenance and performance of MTA's business IT infrastructure. They evaluate and recommend infrastructure solutions that best fit MTA's business needs. They direct MTA's IT managed service provider to ensure business needs are met. They are responsible for both physical and virtual infrastructure, including datacenters. They work with internal teams to coordinate activities and communicate changes. They maintain professional relationships within the organization and with external partners.
SPECIFIC TASK DESCRIPTION
Essential Functions
- Design, integrate and manage complex infrastructure solutions
- Establish, maintain and monitor performance of infrastructure environment
- Direct managed-service provider(s) to manage work, set priorities and establish work practices in IT infrastructure environment
- Evaluate new technologies to verify fit with MTA standards and business needs
- Develop and implement IT infrastructure policies and standards
- Understand existing infrastructure environment and make recommendations for improvement
- Work with Information Security Officer to develop cybersecurity procedures and policies
- Work with IT Manager to develoip and maintain infrastructure budget and capital plan
- Design, implement, and test disaster recovery environment and supporting systems
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor compliance with MTA's supply chain risk management policies.
