Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our consumer lending operations by processing and tracking liens filed with the Department of Motor Vehicles and Department of Natural Resources, as well as managing titles and UCC documents.

Duties

  • Responsible for member marketing of the credit union and knowledge of all services offered to a degree that will enable answering questions or referring members for a specific service.
  • Responsible for processing and tracking liens filed with the Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Natural Resources and other agencies, follow up and tracking of any missing titles and UCC Documents.
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive and courteous attitude when assisting members and coworkers.
  • Responsible for offering support to the lending department, to include logging information, review of daily reports, filing and coordinating loan closings.
  • Maintain familiarity with credit union policies and procedures contained in all manuals pertinent to job duties to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations relating to lending, licensing and other job duties. Participate in ongoing job-related training offered by the credit union and other sources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Proficient in the use of computer software programs such as Microsoft Edge, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and operation of ten-key calculator at a level that will require limited retraining.
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience: One year of experience in general office record keeping with public contact and problem solving. Prior experience with MVFCU may be considered in lieu of a portion of the above experience.
  • Personal Characteristics and Skills: Must be of the highest integrity and with personal habits above reproach. Must be a mature person with sound judgment. Must have the ability to meet and work effectively with people of varying levels of education and experience and be able to communicate, both written and orally, with same. Must practice confidentiality and be able to work well under interacting with the Credit Union’s internal members. Must have a high degree of self-motivation, accuracy, and organizational skills. Must be able to take directions and be willing to seek counsel of supervisor as necessary.
  • Working Conditions: Continuous alertness, precision, and concentration to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of documents and transactions. Continuous alertness of surroundings for security purposes. Frequent performing basic numeric calculations, as well as writing, reading, comparing, and analyzing. Continuous use of initiative, ingenuity, and creativity in identifying member needs, solving member problems and actively cross-selling Credit Union services and products. Continuous memory demands in recalling Credit Union policies and services, and state and federal regulations. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. Continuous standing and/or sitting for long periods of time when providing member services or performing other duties related to the position. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasional bending, squatting, or kneeling to reach supplies on ground level.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.92 - $29.88 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
