What are the responsibilities and job description for the Records Imaging Clerk position at Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union?
FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for member marketing of the credit union and a knowledge of all services offered, to a degree that will enable answering questions or referring members for a specific service.
- Responsible for the prepping, imaging and indexing of Community Office Daily Work.
- Assist with the logging closed account dates in imaging and pulling and filing closed cards.
- Responsible for logging paid dates of loans in imaging, pulling and sending paid notes to members.
- Assist with the running and mailing of change of address and remote access letters on a daily basis.
- Assist with the proofing and verification of loan packets after loan closing before going to imaging.
- Assist with the courier services in absence of incumbent.
- Responsible for maintaining a positive and courteous attitude when assisting members and co-workers.
- Assist with the logging of MVFCU security cameras in the absence of incumbents.
- Assist with the logging and imaging of signature cards including the filing of cards in the absence of the incumbents.
- Assist with Member Research.
- Maintain familiarity with Credit Union policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws relating to responsibilities.
- Assist Records Retention Manager with departmental functions as needed in the absence of incumbents.
PREREQUISITES FOR THE POSITION
- Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Technical skills must include prior training or performance on a keyboard, computer and 10-key adding machine at a level that will require limited retraining.
- Minimum Experience: One year experience in general office record keeping with public contact and problem solving. Prior experience with MVFCU may be considered in lieu of a portion of the above experience. With a limited knowledge base of MVFCU’s Member Service and Teller Functions. Have a valid Alaska driver license with a clean driving record is required.
- Personal Characteristics and Skills: Must be of the highest integrity and with personal habits above reproach. Must be a mature person with sound judgment, and practice effectively with people of varying levels of education and experience, and be able to communicate both written and orally, with same. Must have a high degree of self-motivation, accuracy and organizational skills. Must be able to take direction and seek counsel of supervisor as necessary. Must have the ability to practice confidentiality and work well interacting with the Credit Union’s internal members. Technical skills must include prior training or performance of operating a computer terminal and various general office equipment.
- Working Conditions: Continuous alertness, precision, and concentration to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of documents and transactions. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. This position may require extended or irregular hours. Continuous standing and/or sitting for long periods of time when providing member services or performing other duties related to the position. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasional bending, squatting or kneeling to reach supplies on different levels. Continuous use of hands in repetitive tasks such as simple grasping, twisting/turning of wrist; finger dexterity to perform various accounting duties such as a ten-key calculator, typing, and entering data into the computer system. Continuous clarity of vision of 20 inches or less for normal processing of transactions and documents. Must be able to drive safely on ice and other hazardous road conditions and in various nighttime conditions.

Pay: $16.86 - $23.80 per hour
