THE OPPORTUNITY
Match High School has an opening for a full-time Assistant Principal for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a one-year position on the high school leadership team with the potential for long-term employment to follow. The Assistant Principal will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the work of the high school core leadership team. The Assistant Principal reports to the High School Principal.
This position is based at Match High School, located at 1001 Commonwealth Ave. in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston. The salary for this role starts at $115,382 and can be higher based on relevant prior experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package and up to $150/month in loan repayment assistance.
DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-Support and help guide the work of the high school’s core leadership team.
-Work closely with the Director of Operations on developing and implementing school-wide systems, procedures, and routines.
-Work in collaboration with the core leadership team to communicate and uphold staff and student culture, vision, and values, and the systems that support them.
-Developing authentic relationships with families and helping lead on community involvement events.
-Support and lead the work of grade level cluster teams.
-Observing every staff member coached a minimum of once a week.
-Running feedback meetings with every staff member coached once a week.
-Collaborate on school-wide professional development in collaboration with the high school core leadership team to drive instructional best practices.
-Complete observational rounds with the leadership team to 1) continue to norm on instructional excellence and best practices at Match; 2) work in collaboration to identify next steps for struggling teachers.
-Other tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
-5 years or more of full-time teaching experience, preferably in a high needs educational setting;
-prior experience in school leadership (strongly preferred);
-track record of academic success in urban education;
