Job Responsibilities
This role entails teaching math (Algebra I) and supporting students with disabilities in our 9th grade cohort. The High School Special Education Teacher will:
- Provide inclusion support and instruction in regular education classes containing IEP students.
- Teach separate classes when necessary.
- Manage the school's Special Education programing.
- Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students.

Qualifications
We are seeking a High School Special Education applicant who:
- Has a bachelor's degree.
- Has at least two years of full-time experience as a classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban education setting.
- Holds a valid and appropriate Special Education license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or can obtain licensure within a year of hire.
- Believes all students can and will succeed.
- Is committed to continually improving their practice as a teacher by taking and implementing feedback.
- Has a proven record of student success and achievement.
- Demonstrates an ability to work well on a team and support others in doing their best work.
