Match Charter Public School is a free, high-performing charter public school in Boston. We are a PreK-12 school serving 1,250 students. Position: Middle School Dean of Students (2025-2026)

OVERVIEW OF ROLE
We have an 2025-2026 opening for a Dean of Students at our 300-student middle school located at 215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain. The primary role of the Dean of Students is to help create a school culture that is safe, healthy, joyful and conducive to learning at all times. A Dean of Students is required to proactively create positive culture by proactively building relationships and planning and facilitating fun events, activities and programming. In addition, Deans support students, families and staff through equitable and consistent enforcement of policies and procedures, building and maintaining relationships with students and families, and ensuring all stakeholders are brought into the schools goals.
The compensation for this position starts at $72,114 and can be higher for candidates with prior relevant experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of health insurance costs and student loan repayment assistance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain effective relationships with teachers, parents, and the community to improve school culture.
- Plan regular events that encourage students to build relationships, experience joy, and co-create a positive community.
- Facilitate and teach restorative justice practices with students and staff.
- Skillfully resolve conflicts, keeping all community members physically and emotionally safe.
- Additional responsibilities as needed.

- 1-2 years of previous educational experience in a high-needs education setting. Prior dean or teaching experience is a plus

- Strong event planning and communication skills
- Track record of success in working with students in an urban setting
- Ability to problem solve collaboratively
