Job Title: Contract Data Analyst (Product Management)
Location: US - Remote
Rate preference: $35-40/hr (DOE)
Role Description:
The Data Analyst is responsible for developing analytics models supporting and measuring operational performance for the Global Product Management function. Specifically, the role includes defining business problems, identifying key performance metrics, researching and gathering data, performing financial analyses and communicating customer insights.
Job Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Geography & GIS, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or another analytical discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
Analytical experience including the following programs or databases:
o SAP
o SalesForce SFDC
o Microsoft PowerBI
o Conducting Financial performance analysis including advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
Past experiences in an analytical role specializing in data manipulation, interpretation, report writing, and data insight reporting
Active listening skills, presentation skills, and verbal and written communication skills
The ability to collate data extracts and summarize key findings into concise relevant and easy to digest reports/deliverables
Job Responsibilities:
Supporting customer segmentation analysis, product strategy, product launches, financial performance, and forecasting for the Product Management and Product Marketing teams
Responding to analytical requests that provide data driven business insights and recommendations
Developing descriptive analytical models to provide business insights and recommendations related the Cepheid customer install base, customer settings, and consumables utilization
Creating new templates and standard work for marketing analytics including monthly business reports and/or dashboards for executive teams
Supporting development, execution, deployment, and improvement of team data asset production processes, automation, QC/data validation, and data reconciliation
Participating as the primary support for forecasting and data-driven cross-functional strategic initiatives including liaising with functional groups such as Commercial Analytics, Supply Chain, and IT
Identifying and engaging in opportunities to grow knowledge and skills related to best practices in analytical technologies, methodologies, knowledge of data sets, drawing insights, and presenting data
