Project Manager

Hybrid - Rosemead, CA

Rate : $65 - $70 / hr on W2

Job Summary : The IT Project Manager - Proof of Concept (PoC) will be responsible for leading and managing the development, testing, and implementation of proof of concept projects within the organization. The role requires a strong background in IT project management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to ensure the successful execution of PoC initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Project Management : Lead and manage the end-to-end process of proof of concept projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Stakeholder Management : Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand project requirements, define objectives, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business goals. Facilitate communication between stakeholders and technical teams.
• Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Proactively address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Team Leadership : Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and other IT professionals. Provide guidance, support, and direction to ensure team members are aligned and focused on project objectives.
• Documentation : Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date. This includes project charters, status reports, technical documentation, and post-project evaluations.
• Testing & Validation : Oversee the testing and validation of PoC solutions, ensuring they meet the required specifications and business needs. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement : Analyze project outcomes and gather feedback to improve processes, methodologies, and tools for future projects. Implement lessons learned into future PoC initiatives.
• Vendor Management : Manage relationships with third-party vendors and contractors involved in PoC projects, ensuring they deliver on agreed-upon terms and timelines.
Qualifications :
• Education :

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on leading proof of concept or pilot projects.

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
