Join Our Team as a Senior Infrastructure Cable Engineer
Are you an experienced Infrastructure Cable Engineer with over 10 years of expertise in designing, installing, and maintaining low-voltage cable infrastructure systems? If so, we would love to hear from you!
Position Overview
Location : NorCal KP Region (Sacramento & Bay Area)
Travel Requirement : 50-80% within NorCal KP Region
Remote Work : Partially remote (local candidates only)
Required Education : High school diploma
Essential Experience
Minimum 10 years in structured cabling (Cat 5, Cat 6a, Fiber Optic)
Manufacturer-specific experience and / or certifications are a plus (Commscope, BICSI, Panduit, Hubbell, Corning, Leviton, AV, etc.)
Strong understanding of cabling and fiber standards
Proficient in telecom, data, security, and wireless systems infrastructure
Experience with design software (Bluebeam, AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
Work Hours : Flexible day shifts, depending on site requirements
Dress Code : Business casual (PPE required for construction sites)
Parking : Always available
Key Responsibilities
Architectural : Design of TR spaces based on building size and IT requirements
Mechanical : HVAC sizing based on IT equipment specifications
Electrical : UPS sizing and pathway design based on IT requirements
Cabling SOW : Backbone and horizontal cabling (fiber, copper, specialty)
Site Assessments : Conduct schematic design and estimation
IT Design : Develop construction documents for follow-on engineering
Cabling SOWs : Create CD / Add Move Change documentation for IT and regulatory device connectivity
Engineering Software : Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks
Daily Activities
Collaborate with multiple teams, including NFS, CPFC, CDTS, ITC, Security, and Local Facilities
Conduct on-site quality inspections
Create ICE documents for current and upcoming projects
Assess and recommend updates to outdated or over-capacity spaces to meet current KP standards
