We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced High School Math Teacher to join our team at The Match High School and Career Center for the 2025-2026 school year.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate for the Math Teacher position will have a strong background in mathematics education, a passion for student learning, and the ability to engage students in meaningful mathematical concepts. This position requires an active teaching license, successful completion of a background check, and at least two years of teaching experience.
Key Responsibilities
These are the key responsibilities of a Math Teacher. Teachers may have other duties as assigned.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with state and district curriculum standards.
- Teach various math courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and / or other assigned subjects.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and support student success.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and classroom behavior.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and expectations.
- Participate in professional development, department meetings, and school-wide initiatives.
- Uphold school policies, ethics, and professional standards at all times.
