This role is ideal for a results-driven marketing leader with a strong background in residential construction. The successful candidate will bring expertise in product development, consumer insights, and strategic marketing to enhance brand positioning and market share.

Vice President of Marketing Responsibilities


Product Development

  • Identify and evaluate emerging market opportunities based on proven demand and growth potential.
  • Research and assess innovative home designs and product offerings to enhance market appeal and profitability.
  • Lead the design and refinement of new and existing home products to align with evolving buyer preferences and industry trends.
  • Implement continuous product improvement strategies while optimizing costs to maintain competitive pricing.
  • Develop and execute home designs that balance customer demand with cost-efficiency and profitability across targeted market segments.


Market Awareness & Research

  • Oversee and guide comprehensive market research initiatives to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Define and analyze key market segments to tailor products and marketing strategies effectively.
  • Monitor and assess competitor activity in existing and prospective markets to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Gather and interpret consumer insights to understand buyer preferences, lifestyle trends, and purchasing behaviors.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market growth areas and development opportunities to drive strategic expansion.


Tactical & Strategic Planning

  • Identify high-potential markets that align with company profitability goals while minimizing risk exposure.
  • Forecast and analyze absorption rates within each defined market segment to guide pricing and sales strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends and external factors to anticipate market shifts and proactively adjust business strategies.
  • Collaborate with land development teams to design community layouts that reflect buyer preferences and maximize sales potential.
  • Plan and forecast demand by price segment and geographic location to support future land acquisitions and development strategies.


Administration

  • Develop and manage marketing budgets at project and departmental levels to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Review, negotiate, and approve contracts related to marketing initiatives and partnerships.
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain accurate and efficient marketing data management.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports detailing key marketing performance metrics and strategic insights.
  • Set clear job objectives and performance standards for marketing staff, conducting quarterly performance evaluations to drive team growth and efficiency.


Vice President of Marketing Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, real estate, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 years of real estate marketing management experience, preferably within homebuilding or residential development
  • Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and marketing strategy to drive business growth
  • Expertise in branding, market positioning, and consumer engagement to enhance visibility and sales performance
  • Deep understanding of buyer behavior, product development, and client relationship management
  • Ability to blend data-driven decision-making with innovative marketing approaches
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams and engage stakeholders
