What are the responsibilities and job description for the Franchise Credit Analyst position at Matco Tools?
The Franchise Credit Analyst I will be responsible for processing and analyzing franchise credit applications for new distributors with Matco. This role provides essential support to the Finance and Sales teams, ensuring the timely and accurate administration of franchise finance processes and underwriting guidelines. The Analyst will apply continuous improvement principles in their daily tasks, aiming to meet support goals while enhancing efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze and process new franchise applications to determine the acceptance or rejection of candidates into the Matco franchise system.
- Handle pre-screening applications and review credit bureau reports.
- Assist with monthly internal reporting and metrics for Franchise Finance.
- Collaborate with existing Franchise Credit Analysts to prioritize support and meet current business needs.
- Safeguard franchise and financial documents for applicants.
- Provide support to internal and external auditors on information requests.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in credit evaluation and lending principles.
- Familiarity with credit bureau reports, financing documents, and secured transactions (UCC-1).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with above-average typing skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working effectively within critical deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
