Description :
The Network Administrator at Mate Precision Technologies supports our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across network, server, and end-user environments. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with virtualization, network administration, data security, and disaster recovery expertise.
Key Responsibilities :
Infrastructure Management
Administer and maintain virtual environments (Hyper-V, KVM) including VM creation, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Oversee Microsoft 365 environments and applications, managing email, user accounts, and licenses.
Manage Windows and Linux operating systems on servers and PCs, ensuring regular updates, patching, and user management.
Configure and monitor all aspects of SAN / NAS storage systems.
Understand Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and recovery procedures.
Backup and Disaster Recovery
Implement and manage onsite and offsite backup solutions using Veeam, ensuring data recovery processes are in place and regularly tested.
Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
Oversee deployment and monitoring of Next Generation endpoint protection solutions in partnership with third-party EDR vendors, ensuring real-time threat detection and remediation.
Network Administration
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN / WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, and VPNs.
Ensure network security through regular updates, patches, and system monitoring.
Support multi-factor authentication (MFA) systems for secure access.
Configure and manage secure and reliable remote access solutions for employees.
End-User Support
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
Phone System Support
Assist with support of IP phone systems, including user account setup, call routing, and voicemail configuration.
General Responsibilities
Build and maintain effective relationships with end users, consultants, and vendors.
Participate in on-call rotations to support critical business operations.
Analyze business needs and recommend IT solutions.
Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
An associate's degree in information systems or a related field is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in network administration and infrastructure management.
Proficiency in virtualization technologies (Examples : VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, etc).
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Knowledge of storage arrays, firewalls, mobile device management, and Microsoft 365.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical Requirements :
Primarily office-based with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor.
Frequent sitting; occasional standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs.).
Pay, Work Schedule, & Benefits :
Compensation : $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 / year
