Your Opportunity: Become a Key Player in Precision Manufacturing.
As a Machinist, you will be instrumental in producing custom parts with exceptional accuracy. You will:
- Master blueprints and specifications, translating them into tangible, high-quality components
- Calculate and execute precise cuts and bores, ensuring adherence to strict tolerances
- Leverage your programming expertise on conversational milling machines and lathes to bring designs to life
- Shape a variety of critical materials, including steel &aluminum
- Optimize machining processes by determining feed speeds and selecting the right tools and parts
- Strategize and execute the sequence of cutting and finishing operations for optimal results
- Skillfully set up and operate drill presses, lathes, and milling machines
- Program and command HURCO machines using ProtoTrak software to achieve unparalleled precision in custom part creation
- Verify settings through meticulous measurements of positions, first-run parts, and samples
- Maintain detailed records of production and quality control actions
- Precisely determine and achieve critical fabrication tolerances
- A solid foundation of 3-5years of hands-on machinist experience, ideally complemented by technical, trade, or vocational training
- Proven ability to program conversationalmilling machines or lathes (required)
- Familiarity with HURCO or other conversational machines
- Experience with ProtoTrak Software (desired)
- The ability to interpret complex electronic blueprints with a strong understanding of fabrication tolerances
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to evaluate product quality, making necessary programming adjustments
- A resourceful, reliable, and independent work ethic
