Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software engineers to develop, edit and refine all software documentation for system control and analysis.
- Authors technical documentation and diagnostic service procedures gathered from engineering resources and develops systems troubleshooting and maintenance manuals.
- Interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
- Develop all Environmental, Health, and Safety documentation as required.
- Manage new and existing documentation to ensure information is relevant and accurate.
- Assist in developing marketing materials for print and digital ad campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 3-5 years experience in technical writing, ideally with a mechanical or electrical focus.
- Understanding of machine operating principles.
- Experience with Madcap Flare or other XML content authoring tools is required.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and write about complex information and make it understandable in text and through images and media.
- Excellent work ethic and strong intellectual curiosity.
