Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Business Teacher for grades 6-12 who can inspire students to explore various aspects of business, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business, an understanding of adolescent education, and the ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment. The Business Teacher will develop and deliver curriculum, promote practical and real-world skills, and prepare students for potential careers or further studies in business fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development and Instruction:
- Design and deliver engaging business courses that cover foundational topics such as entrepreneurship, finance, economics, marketing, and management.
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans for middle and high school students that incorporate both theoretical concepts and practical applications.
- Integrate technology, multimedia, and project-based learning to enhance student understanding of business concepts.
- Stay current on trends and advancements in business and education to continuously update and improve course content.
- Student Engagement and Support:
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners and encourages curiosity and exploration of business topics.
- Use a variety of instructional techniques and assessments to accommodate diverse learning styles and assess student progress effectively.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to students interested in pursuing further education or careers in business fields.
- Develop extracurricular programs, such as business clubs, DECA, or similar student organizations, to enhance students’ experience and skills outside the classroom.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other faculty members, school administration, and parents to support the academic and social-emotional needs of students.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Participate in professional development, departmental meetings, and school events to remain actively engaged in the school community.
- Assessment and Reporting:
- Monitor and document student performance and provide constructive feedback to promote improvement.
- Prepare and submit reports on student progress and participate in parent-teacher conferences as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- State teaching certification for grades 6-12 in Business or Career and Technical Education (CTE) or the ability to obtain certification.
- Prior experience teaching business subjects at the middle or high school level is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of business fundamentals, digital tools, and current industry trends.
