What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Electrician / Maintenance position at Material Handling Services LLC?
Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment within an establishment using hand tools, and testing instruments. Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, and / or testing lamp.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment.
- Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment.
- Performs duties using ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, and / or testing lamp.
- Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems.
- Inspects equipment and diagnoses trouble.
- Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
- Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specifications.
- Inspects completed work and insures that work conforms to requirements of local building and safety codes.
- Responsible for conducting all works in a safe, clean and orderly manner.
- May perform other duties as requested.
- May participate on project teams as requested.
