Material Handling Systems seeks a highly experienced and skilled Manufacturing Manager who will oversee all aspects of crane production, ensuring efficient operations, adherence to quality standards, and timely delivery of products. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with strong organizational skills and the ability to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The ideal candidate will be a team player capable of managing diverse personalities, fostering a collaborative work environment, and working closely with the Branch Managers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Production Oversight: Manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient and timely production of cranes, meeting quality standards and delivery schedules.
· Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
· Process Development: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline manufacturing processes and enhance productivity.
· Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet company and industry quality standards through rigorous inspection and testing protocols.
· Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize production efficiency.
· Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and protocols, fostering a safe working environment for all employees.
· Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and sales teams to coordinate efforts and achieve organizational goals.
· Conflict Resolution: Manage and resolve conflicts within the team, demonstrating high emotional intelligence and the ability to handle strong personalities effectively.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement changes to drive operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing management role, preferably within the crane or heavy equipment industry.
· Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage performance, and foster a positive work environment.
· Organizational Skills: Exceptional detail orientation with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
· Emotional Intelligence: Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to navigate complex relationships and handle challenging situations diplomatically.
· Process Development: Experience in developing and implementing SOPs to standardize operations and improve efficiency.
· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying information.
· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with manufacturing software systems and tools.
- Certifications: Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement training.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding crane manufacturing processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
