Job Overview :
The Hands-on IT Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day IT operations while also being actively involved in the hands-on technical management of IT systems and projects. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, technical skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments. The IT Manager will oversee IT staff, infrastructure, and services, ensuring systems are running smoothly, secure, and optimized for performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Team Leadership & Mentorship :
Lead, mentor, and support the IT team, providing both strategic direction and hands-on guidance.
Actively participate in system troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance, assisting with complex issues that require senior-level expertise.
Manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, data centers, and cloud environments.
Implement and manage security measures to protect the organization's data and IT assets.
Manage IT projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and meeting business requirements.
Work with senior management to manage and optimize the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective spending on hardware, software, and services.
Lead the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 15 plus years of experience in IT management, with at least 10 plus years in a hands-on technical role.
Strong experience with networking, server management (Windows, Linux, etc.), and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Competencies :
The base salary range for this role is $100,700 to $151,100 . This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
