JOB DESCRIPTION
The person will be in charge of a crew installing overhead bridge cranes and hoists. Candidates must have at least 10 years’ experience installing steel and at least 5 years as lead installer. Candidate will be responsible for making sure installations are done with the highest quality and on budget.
- Assemble and install products utilizing hand and power tools as well as experience operating heavy equipment.
- Drives trucks to transport sign materials to installation sites and loads and unloads trucks with supplies and equipment.
- Determine layout and installation procedures and measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations.
- Reviews blueprints, and identifies and prepares necessary materials and supplies for installations.
- Follows all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Ability to work at heights over 40’ safely and in confined spaces.
- Punctual and reliable attendance record.
- Able to travel for extended periods on installations.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends, when required.
- Maintain professionalism at all times while on installations.
- Willing to get CDL license
- Experience in the installation of steel beams
- Continuous welding/fabrication experience is required.
- Knowledge in fabrication consists of but is not limited to construction equipment, structural steel, trailers to complex fabrication.
- Experience with cutting, fitting, and various fabrication skills are required.
- Perform skilled tasks in the repair of metal surfaces for the purpose of ensuring safe and efficient use of items
- Apply technical expertise in determining work methods and procedures
- Install various items to complete projects safely and within established time frames
- Maintaining shop, tools, vehicle, and machinery in good working order
- Maintains welds on various items using a variety of processes to ensure the availability and functioning of required items ensuring safety
- Control downtime by performing routine maintenance and instructing workers on the proper operation of equipment at customer job sites
- Use machine shop instrumentation and equipment to fabricate, repair parts, maintain equipment parts, and supply inventories.

QUALIFICATIONS
HS Diploma preferred
Minimum of 10 years with steel erection
A combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is required
General knowledge of various types of equipment and the ability to work with little or no supervision is required
Willing to travel occasionally if needed
Compensation and Hours
Basis for unit of salary/pay: Hourly
Salary: Salary based on experience and aptitude of candidate
Hours per week: 40
Shift: Day/Emergency Weekend Callouts
