What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Coordintor position at Material Logistics & Services, LLC?
We are hiring an Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team. This full-time hourly position will work Monday-Friday 6:30 AM-4:00PM (Overtime as needed) This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory accuracy numbers at or above the level of set KPI’s. This position will also be expected to educate our team on inventory issues and solutions.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Proficient in SAP, P1P system
- Responsible for the managing office, included CSRs
- Maintaining the Responsible Care SharePoint files
- Send daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Keep schedules for the delivery and pick-up of truck shipments, raw materials, empty or loaded export containers, bulk tankers and secondary packaging materials
- Keep spreadsheets up to date for on site empty or loaded export containers, bulk tankers and secondary packaging materials
- Generate all related paperwork and essential information required for shipments
- Check all orders for special instructions, and coordinate last minute shipping requests, expediting as necessary
- Responsible for the completion of all inventory receipts, shipments, transfers and packaging
- Verify and enter transfers, posting goods shipped, reporting packaged material, and process through our SAP system
- Regularly monitor inventory using SAP
- Developing and implementing inventory control processes
- Conduct frequent cycle counts of inventory to match with system records and identify discrepancies.
- Re-entering goods into inventory
- Investigate and settle inventory inconsistencies, including damaged goods, missing items, and system errors.
- Run regular cycle counts for the warehouse
- Address quality hold concerns with Facility Manager, as needed
- Work in both the WMS and EWM system
- Investigate inventory discrepancies to determine the root cause
- Update training documents to reflect system or process changes relating to inventory management
- Provide coaching to employees on proper procedure when deviations are identified
- Daily end-of-shift communication with the Facility Manager
- Other assignments/projects as needed to ensure our customer needs are met
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with SAP, WMS
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods through hot and cold temperatures.
- Ability to repetitively twist or turn to drive in reverse, stand, climb, kneel, stoop and squat, as needed.
- Ability to turn steering wheel on lift truck requiring full rotation of arms and shoulders.
- Must be willing and able to safely lift up to 50 pounds, and slide, push, or pull cases up to 50 pounds.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company.
