Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Staffing for two (2) locations
- Oversee and manage the recruitment process to ensure the organization attracts and hires top talent.
- Develop job descriptions, conduct interviews, and coordinate the hiring process.
- Build a network of qualified candidates for future job openings.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns.
- Address employee complaints and conflicts and mediate resolutions.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.
- Ensure compliance with the collective bargaining agreement. Work proactively on relationship building with the union. Facilitate monthly labor management meetings and resolve grievances and work issues.
- Performance Management:
- Oversee the performance management system, including setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and providing feedback.
- Develop and implement strategies for employee development, training, and career progression.
- Implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Compliance and Policy Management:
- Ensure the organization complies with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and equal employment opportunity standards.
- Develop, implement, and update company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation packages.
- Manage payroll processes and resolve any discrepancies.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and organize internal or external learning and development programs.
- Support leadership development initiatives and succession planning.
- Encourage continuous professional development for employees.
- Health & Safety and Wellness:
- Promote and enforce workplace safety protocols and health-related initiatives.
- Manage employee wellness programs to foster a healthy and productive work environment.
- HR Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop HR strategies that align with business goals.
- Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports on trends, issues, and successes.
- Contribute to organizational change management efforts and employee communication strategies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certifications preferred).
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR role, preferably in a union manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
