What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Planner/Buyer position at Material Sciences Corporation?
POSITION PURPOSE: Execute production plan by creating and maintaining production schedules for designated manufacturing lines. Order paints, adhesives, and films as per RFQ order quantities. Maintain production performance database for daily, monthly, and YTD production reporting.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Create and maintain work orders and production plan & schedule for coating line and slitters
Coordinate schedule execution with manufacturing to ensure capacity maximization
Review demand to issue and track purchase orders for a quality and timely supply of material to meet production schedules
Reconcile PO discrepancies with AP, shipping, and suppliers
Assist Purchasing with reporting on inventory, OTD, supplier rating
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Some college preferred
Minimum 3 years' experience in Purchasing and/or Production Control.
Experience required in a manufacturing environment and exposure to paints, chemicals, films, and metal preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
