Semi Driver - Industrial Equipment

Job Summary
OPPORTUNITIY:

As our Semi Driver, you will represent a Multi-line OEM Equipment Dealer and contribute to your success and the company’s success by providing an industry-leading customer experience and creating and maintaining first-class service operations to support the company’s mission.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Equipment Delivery and Pickup:
• Safely transport forklifts and related equipment to and from customer locations.
• Ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed on schedule.
• Verify the condition of equipment upon delivery and pickup, noting any discrepancies.
• Customer Service:
• Interact professionally with customers during deliveries and pickups.
• Address any customer concerns or questions regarding the equipment.
• Vehicle Maintenance:
• Perform routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Report any vehicle maintenance or repair needs to the Operations Manager.
• Documentation:
• Accurately complete delivery and pickup paperwork, including delivery receipts, inspection forms, and any other required documentation.
• Maintain detailed records of deliveries and pickups.
• Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating delivery vehicles.
• Ensure that equipment is properly secured during transport to prevent damage.
• Additional Duties:
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment as needed.
• Support the operations team with other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a delivery driver role, preferably within the forklift or heavy equipment industry.
• Licenses and Certifications:
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Forklift operator certification is a plus.
• Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local roadways.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions.

Working Conditions:

• Regularly required to drive for extended periods.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions during loading and unloading of equipment.
• May be required to work occasional overtime.
