Job Description
We are looking for a skilled HVAC technician to join our team at Materion. As a member of our dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will have the opportunity to grow your career and expand your expertise.
You will be responsible for:
- Showcasing your troubleshooting skills and collaborating with engineering to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Expanding your knowledge of industry regulations and gaining experience with diverse HVAC equipment.
- Enhancing your technical skills and growing your career within our organization.
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Participate in the continuous improvement process by making suggestions to Supervisors and Leads.
- Ensure that all housekeeping requirements are met.
- Perform to Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Procedures to maintain material flow to internal and external customers.
- Work closely with plant engineering, updating blueprints, coordinating the development of new processes/products, and effecting improvements.
- Comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- 5 years of industrial, commercial, and/or military electrical/HVAC maintenance experience, or a completed approved four-year electrical/HVAC apprentice program.
- EPA Universal Technician certification and an EPA Section 608 Certification preferred.
- A working knowledge of ISO9002 Quality System.
- Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Office products and email.
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills to provide customer service.
