A designated member of the departments operating team who is responsible for leading/guiding and training in respective area and/or production personnel in the techniques of inspection.
You Will Have the Opportunity to:
- Responsible and accountable for coordinating day to day activities of Quality personnel.
- Coordinates and performs the team building and training development and activities.
- Audits team members to adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Works from a variety of sketches, manuals, drawings, blueprints, and SOP’s when available and recommends alterations to Area Leader.
- Performs duties of QC Technician as needed, other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent with an emphasis on mathematics.
- Training in leadership and team building would be acquired through the successful completion of the Elmore core curriculum.
- A minimum of 2 years of performing the duties of a Quality Technician is required.
- Training by a professionally recognized organization in Ultrasonic Testing is required to become proficient in performing these job duties.
- Incumbent should know or be able to learn PC functions.
- Individual must be able to independently analyze and certify inspection results.
- Individual works independently and also with other team members and is knowledgeable in Plant procedures and policies.
- Good working conditions with more than occasional exposure to disagreeable elements.
- Individual works with moderate to heavy material and is on feet most of workday.
- Individual must have working knowledge of the ISO9000 Quality System.
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on Materion’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with Materion’s business requirements.
