What are the responsibilities and job description for the Universal Member Services Representative/Teller position at Maternity B.V.M. Credit Union?
As a Universal Member Service Representative (Teller), you must build relationships with the members to provide the high quality of customer service they are accustomed to. This position is responsible for proactively promoting all Maternity BVM Credit Union products and services. Keys to success include a professional demeanor, positive attitude, reliability, and excellent attention to detail.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Greet customers with a positive attitude.
- Represent the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner, and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
- Cash checks and pay money from savings upon verification of signatures and member account balances. Inspect all checks, money orders, savings withdrawal, etc. to determine their negotiability.
- Receive payment for loans, ensuring that payments equal the amount due and all late charges, if applicable, are collected. Enter payments received into the bank’s records via the computer.
- Issue Certificate of Deposits, Money Orders, and State of IL electronic tag renewals.
- Verify eligibility and follow all BSA regulations when opening new member accounts.
- Process accounts payable on a timely basis.
- Receive, process, and disseminate mail.
- Balance cash drawer and end of day
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Process Loan Applications periodically.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities we are looking for:
- Capability to operate computer accounting software including Microsoft Office, (specifically Excel, Word and Outlook) and other standard office equipment, such as a calculator, copier, scanner, fax machine, etc.
- Job-related experience, including cash handling, and formal teller training.
- Great customer service skills with outstanding communication skills
- Positive, friendly attitude, willingness to learn, and team player.
- Excellent attention to detail
Job Type and Schedule:
· Full -time
- Tuesday through Friday and ½ day on Saturday
- Periodic special events outside of shift hours.
Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree or higher a plus
Experience:
- Job-related experience, including cash handling, formal teller training; prior financial experience: 2 years (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Work Location:
· In person – Bourbonnais, IL
Pay frequency:
- Bi-Monthly
Typical start time:
- 8:15 AM
Typical end time:
- 4:45 PM or until day is balanced.
