Production Manager

Production Manager:

MaTex Hose is a manufacturer and wholesaler of lay-flat hoses used in a variety of applications and industries. Located in Dothan, Alabama, and was founded in 2017.

Job Overview:

• Direct and coordinate the manufacturing activities in compliance with required output and quality standards.
• Oversee the training of employees, setting of production and performance goals, organization of work, and maintenance of a productive and motivational climate.
• Coordinates production schedules with Plant Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process RGA’s
• Coordinate shipping on a daily and weekly basis
• Ensure that production stays on schedule and within budget
• Analyze production data
• Write production reports
• Streamline the production process
• Determine whether overtime work is necessary
• Fix any production problems
• Ensure quality assurance throughout the production process
• Manage the production team so that scheduled goals are met
• Plan, schedule, direct and execute production activities
• Develop cost-effective measurements to achieve exceptional business practices
• Leads production scheduling and organization efforts for the plant/s, including gathering material specifications.
• Reviews and sequences new orders as they arrive, analyzing resource requirements, lead times, and production capabilities.
• Organizes and prints orders, including pulling pick tickets
• Serves as the main point of contact for scheduling changes and ad-hoc build demand.
• Generates weekly report/s to communicate schedules, orders, and sales information.
• Corresponds consistently with the plant manager, operation manager including customer care, materials team members, and shipping and receiving.
• Understands and assists with production control, order entry/alterations, and materials management processes.
• Assists management and staff with new program implementation and training and support as needed.
• Attends regular staff meetings with management and disseminates non-confidential information to personnel as needed.
• Maintains all other operation records for the proper period of time as directed by MaTex Hose
• Participates as needed in special department projects as determined by the Plant Manager, or other appropriate supervisory personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Certifications may act in place of a bachelor's degree where applicable
• Prior experience working as a production coordinator in the industry preferred
• Strong understanding of industry market and conditions
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Sharp business acumen and financial projection
• High regard for quality assurance
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other positions applicable MaTex Hose computer software applications.

SUMMARY

Reports to Plant Manager

Ensures safe and efficient implementation of all duties in support of the production of the highest possible quality product.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $35,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Production & Assembly Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)
