Role Overview

As a Portfolio Head, you will be responsible for driving new business growth by securing strategic client partnerships and expanding MathCo’s presence across key markets. A critical focus area for this role will be selling Engineering and Technology Consulting as a Service - an offering that provides clients with scalable, high-impact engineering capabilities tailored to enterprise AI and analytics initiatives.


This is a strategic leadership position that involves acquiring new logos, managing senior stakeholder relationships, and delivering long-term value through consultative selling and custom-built solutions. You will lead high-value conversations with C-suite executives, shape solution roadmaps, and work cross-functionally to ensure successful handoff and delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and market adoption of Engineering Consulting as a Service, positioning it as a strategic enabler for enterprise digital and AI transformation.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, direct outreach, and participation in industry forums.
  • Lead the full business development cycle—from prospecting to contract closure—with a focus on large enterprise clients.
  • Develop and present customized proposals that articulate how MathCo’s engineering capabilities and platform offerings solve complex business problems.
  • Partner with technical and delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility and a smooth client onboarding experience.
  • Own and deliver on revenue goals, sales KPIs, and pipeline metrics for new client acquisition and account expansion.
  • Build deep, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders; maintain long-term engagement to enable ongoing cross-sell and upsell.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in data engineering, cloud, and AI.
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of our go-to-market strategy, especially in the engineering consulting domain.


What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 13–15 years of experience in enterprise sales, with a strong background in selling data engineering, AI/ML services, or consulting solutions.
  • Proven track record of closing multi-million dollar deals, ideally with clients in Technology, Pharma, or Retail.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (especially Azure), data engineering practices, and technologies such as Databricks, data modeling, and SDLC.
  • Ability to engage with senior business and technical stakeholders, translating enterprise needs into scalable engineering solutions.
  • Experience selling consulting services or managed services models is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with sales tools, CRM platforms, and modern sales enablement strategies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% for client meetings and industry events.
