POSITION SUMMARY
The Outside Parts Salesperson provides Business to Business (B2B) sales of commercial truck parts for an assigned territory. This position is responsible for the management of existing accounts and development of new accounts through extensive cold calling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages Business to Business (B2B) sales of commercial truck parts for an assigned territory by maintaining existing accounts and developing new accounts through extensive cold calling
- Represents the company in a respectful manner
- Meets sales quotas
- Prospects for new business
- Gathers and submits detailed business information for pricing and presents solutions to identified prospects
- Participates in weekly Outside Sales conference call
- Identifies and discusses areas of product shortcomings and advises parts management
- Consistently explores the potential of new product lines in the field
- Effectively prioritizes and executes tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Follows a professional dress code
- Effectively uses computer systems to complete daily tasks
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
- Verifiable sales performance (any industry)
- CDK Global DMS experience highly preferred
- Verifiable customer service performance record and/or training required
- Knowledge of automotive servicing/repair required
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good sales and territory management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Automotive or trucking industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of light, medium, and heavy duty trucks a plus
- Proven ability to achieve sales goals
- Ability to hold yourself accountable and achieve goals with limited direct supervision
- Exceptional customer service orientation
