What are the responsibilities and job description for the Zone Controller/FP&A position position at MATHESON?
The Zone Controller will conduct financial reporting, review, and analysis for assigned geographies and business units. The role will work closely with Zone and Business Unit management to help assess and drive Business strategy and performance. The Zone Controller will develop reporting and assess the business in the following areas : financial statements, forecasting and budgeting, cost reduction initiatives, key performance metrics, capital expenditure spend, prospective capital projects, and business strategy. The position is responsible for the performance of accounts receivable and collections for assigned businesses. The Zone Controller will report directly to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Responsibilities :
- Assists with capital project approval presentations and market research
- Develops and assesses Zone and Site level P&Ls and coordinates review with Corporate Accounting Team
- Responsible for the performance of accounts receivable and collections team for assigned businesses.
- Manages and plays a key role in developing Business Unit Forecasts and Budgets
- Works with Business Unit Management to establish and report on KPIs
- Identifies projects and implements them for cost reduction purposes
- Prepares Business Unit presentations as needed
- Develops and assists in analyzing a suite of standard financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and / or annual basis
- Collects and analyzes data needed for management decisions
