JOB TITLE – LOGISTICS PLANNER
Division and Unit Overview
Matheson is a safety conscious company. The safety of our Employees, Customers and Drivers is our first priority and paramount to our daily operations. Matheson operates a network of 16 Air Separation Plants throughout the United States that manufacture liquid nitrogen, oxygen and argon.
Position Summary The selected candidate will report to the Planning Supervisor. He/She will be responsible for scheduling truckload deliveries of liquid nitrogen, oxygen and argon in the most efficient and cost effective manner, while ensuring the highest level of safety and Customer service.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
determine Customer delivery requirements, record tank readings, ensure forecast accuracy, assess Driver/equipment availability, deconflict scheduling issues, communicate with Drivers, Terminal Managers, Plant Operators, Sales staff, and review daily plant inventory and production rates to determine product availability. Our Customers include: hospitals, electronics companies, government agencies, refinery plants, cylinder fill plants, welding companies, and food processing companies.
