Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and servicing a wide variety of heavy automotive equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues in heavy equipment and machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Operate various types of shop equipment and machinery, including lifts, presses, and welding machines.
- Supervise a team of shop crew members during the winter maintenance season.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Post-secondary degree in automotive or diesel mechanics preferred.
- Class A Commercial Vehicle Driver's License with tanker, double, triple, and Hazardous Material endorsements required.
- Current and valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
