GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: A Graphic Designer produces visual solutions, using a mix of creative skills and tools to create materials used for print and digital mediums. Graphic Designers must have heightened creative abilities and an awareness of current fashion trends. Must have impeccable communication skills for maintaining relationships with departments, stores and partners. Must have attention to detail while understanding that deadlines cannot be missed. Job requires working knowledge of the latest computer packages Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Microsoft Office, project planning systems, basic understanding of HTML, CSS, & CMS. Must also be aware of the importance of material costs. Job requires being reliable, responsible, dependable, organized and self-motivated. Perform any other duties as directed by management.
EXAMPLES OF WORKED PERFORMED: Receive work orders, prioritize workload based on deadline and Graphics Team Manager decisions. Communicate to customers and other departments for additional information required for a project. Must be persistent! Provide rough concept options. Request, revise and get approval from Graphics Team Manager and customer. Proceed with producing the final content. Outsource print production to local production facilities and have them deliver, and install in some cases, assets to our customers. Deliver all digital assets to the teams responsible for posting the creative content. Receive constructive feedback and direction from Graphics Team Manager. Do not miss the deadline. (In-store display signs, digital billboards, newspaper ads, magazine ads, hang signs, web ads, email ads, etc…); any other duties as directed by management.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Producing accurate and high quality work; ability to handle multiple projects at once; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; expert knowledge of latest computer packages used for graphic design; graphic designers must have outstanding communications skills, they must be able to communicate visually, verbally, and in writing; ability to meet tight deadlines.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Heavy Work: Lifting up to 10 lbs occasionally, and/or up to 5 lbs occasionally.
Work Environment: Indoor, climate controlled environment.
