Learning Center Math Instructor

Mathnasium is a math only-learning center that offers both math help and enrichment to students in grades K-12. We do offer SAT/ACT Test prep. Each student in our program receives a customized learning plan based on our proprietary teaching material. We offer part-time jobs in Gaithersburg, MD with flexible scheduling and ongoing training opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong passion and skills for Math
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to professionally interact with students
• Ability to provide direction and teaching
• Energetic and confident personality
• Good time management skills

Preferred Qualifications for the candidate:

• Mathematical ability to teach students in Middle and High school (Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus)
• Experience in math tutoring/ teaching preferred
• Current students with exceptional grades in high school math can be considered.

The learning center environment is supportive and encouraging. Applicants should love teaching and be able to motivate students to learn and achieve success. Hours may vary but could include mid-afternoon through early evening hours, Monday –Thursday for approximately 3-20 hours per week.
