Overview
This is a full-time on-site role for an MRO Buyer at Matikon in Auburn Hills. The MRO Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials and supplies. Day-to-day tasks include sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, evaluating supplier performance, and maintaining inventory levels. We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that our inventory levels meet the demands of our business while optimizing costs. The Buyer will collaborate with various departments to align purchasing decisions with company goals and market trends.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to identify and engage suppliers.
- Manage the procurement process from purchase order creation to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Analyze market trends and pricing data to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through effective inventory management practices.
- Utilize systems such as SAP for tracking purchases, managing supplier relationships, and analyzing procurement data.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality or delivery.
- Conduct regular reviews of inventory levels to minimize excess stock while ensuring product availability.
Requirements
