Mativ is currently searching for an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern to join our Minneapolis team immediately. This intern position is an excellent opportunity to learn and contribute to site level and company-wide EHS strategic initiatives, and the important factors that make them successful. We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven intern to support the Minneapolis environmental, health, and safety leadership team in deployment of key initiatives at the Minneapolis manufacturing site.

Responsibilities
- Lead and/or contribute to defined projects focused on improving long-term and short-term EHS performance, with a strong emphasis on safety,
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, training and programs
- Collect, review and analyze health and safety data to help make informed decisions - focus on proactive risk-reduction activities to avoid future negative outcomes
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship
- Support Mativ's safety and environmental initiatives
- Develop working knowledge of federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations
- Interact with site safety teams, management personnel, and shop floor staff on various projects and initiatives
Qualifications:
Required:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum GPA-3.0.
- Internship or work experience preferred.
